Individual Peach Crisp is made with fresh peaches and a crunchy crumble. It is perfect when you don’t want a large dessert.
I love making individual desserts like this recipe. They’re perfect when you want something sweet to satisfy that sweet tooth, but don’t want leftovers.
This is one of my favorite desserts with peaches. I love the taste of the peaches with the cinnamon and ginger. I love to add a dollop of vanilla ice cream or some sweet whipped cream, it makes for the perfect finish to any dinner.
Helpful Tips:
- Use peaches that are not overripe. They should be slightly soft to the touch and not too firm.
- I recommend that the peaches should be peeled for the recipe for best results. See notes below for how to easily remove peels from peaches.
- When dicing the peach try to have the pieces into unified pieces. This will help with the crisp baking evenly.
- This dessert can be served hot or cold. If serving it hot, let it cool slightly after removing it from the oven. A scoop of ice cream is a great addition if the dessert is being served warm.
- If you have leftovers, cover the dessert with a cling wrap and store it in the refrigerator.
How to peel peaches:
You will be surprised how simple it is to remove the peel from a peach. Bring a saucepan of water to a boil, the saucepan should be able to hold enough water to submerge the peach completely. Place the peach in the water for about 30 seconds. You can place it in an ice bath, but it is not necessary. Then remove the loosened skin with your fingertips.
Steps for Making Individual Peach Crisp
Step one
Start with making the crumble. In a medium bowl combine the brown sugar, oats, flour, and cinnamon. Cut in the butter until the mixture is well combined and crumbly. Set aside
Step two
Butter the custard cup/ramekin and set aside. Place the diced peaches into a medium bowl.
Step three
Add the sugar, flour, cinnamon, and ginger to the peaches and toss until everything is well combined.
Step four
Divide the peach filling between the two custard cups/ramekin. Sprinkle with the crumble topping.
Step five
Bake in a preheated oven until the crumble is browned and the peach filling is bubbling.

Notes

- Old fashion oats are used for this recipe. I feel that they give a better crunch to the crumble.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator. Use a cling wrap over the top of the container.

I’m sharing a peach cobbler next week—I should have made individual servings as we had a family birthday shortly after I made it. SO much dessert—but nobody is complaining. I’m going to pin this for next summer’s crop!
The Happy Whisk
No lie. I do these too and in the same bowls. Also, another bowl that is similar but the personal sizes are just so great. I have small Mason jars too, and I wanted to give them a go because I can lid them and then send Tim to work with it.
So much fun.
