Cut the Italian sausage links into 1/2 to 1-inch pieces. In a large skillet cook the sausage over medium heat until no longer pink. Stir frequently to brown evenly. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set it aside.
While preparing the sausage and sauce cook the tortellini according to the directions on the package.
When the sausage is removed from the skillet wipe out any excess grease. Add the olive oil and heat over medium heat. Add the green peppers, onions, and garlic and saute until tender about 6 to 8 minutes. The last couple of spinach and let it wilt.
Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste and mix in.
Stir in the Italian seasoning and salt (if the salt is needed). Cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
Add in the sausage and tortellini and simmer until the sausage and tortellini are heated through.
