Ingredients

  • 8 ounces uncooked pasta your favorite
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper Optional

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to the direction on the box. Once it is cooked, drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for a minute or so.
  • Add the 2 tablespoons of butter along with the flour. Stir constantly until the butter and flour are combined and smooth.
  • Gradually add the cream and milk, stirring constantly.
  • Continue to cook until the sauce thickens.
  • Add the parsley and Parmesan cheese. Stir until well combined.
  • Add the cooked pasta and toss until the pasta is coated with the sauce.

Notes

  1. Use the directions on the box for cooking the pasta.
  2. Make sure to add salt to the water for the pasta. Also, the water should be boiling before adding the pasta.
  3. Stir the pasta once in a while when it is cooking to prevent the pasta from sticking.
  4. If the sauce becomes too thick, add more milk to thin it out. Add enough to make the desired thickness.
  5. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.
