Individual Peach Crisp

Individual Peach Crisp is made with fresh peaches and a crunchy crumble. It is perfect when you don't want a large dessert.

Ingredients

Crumble

  • 3 tablespoons old fashion oats
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon butter

Filling

  • 2 medium peaches about 2 cups
  • 4 teaspoon flour
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • Extra butter for greasing ramekin/custard cup

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • For the crumble mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, and the dash of cinnamon in a small bowl. Mix until all of the ingredients are mixed well.
  • Grease the ramekin/ custard cup and set aside.
  • Dice the peaches into small pieces and place in a medium bowl.
  • Add the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and ginger toss until the peaches are well coated and the dry ingredients are all mixed in.
  • Divide the peach mixture into the two prepared ramekin/custard cups
  • Sprinkle the crumble over top of the peaches.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the crumble is browned and the peach filling is bubbling. You can also us a wooden pick and check the peaches for softness.

Notes

  1. Do not use overripe peaches. The peaches should be slightly soft to the touch, and not too hard.
  2. I recommend that the peaches be peeled for this dessert.
  3. Old fashion oats are used for this recipe. I feel that they give a better crunch to the crumble. 
  4. Store leftovers in the refrigerator. Use a cling wrap over the top of the container.
