- 1/2 cup old fashion oatmeal
- 2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup raisins
- butter for greasing the ramekin
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 10 to 1- ounce ramekin.
Mix together the oatmeal, raisin, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Add the milk and honey to the dry ingredients and mix in. Pour in the prepared ramekin.
Place the ramekin on a baking sheet and place in the preheated oven. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the center is set. Remove from the oven, cool slightly, and eat.
- I like to use old fashion oats for this recipe for a hearty breakfast, but you can use quick oats or steel-cut oats if you prefer.
- Using the quick oats or steel-cut oats may change the baking time.
- To tell if the oats are done check to see if the center is set. Do not go by the color of the baked oatmeal, the cinnamon and brown sugar give the oats a darker color.
- If you don't eat right away, cool completely, cover, and store in the fridge.
