Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • lemon zest from one lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup pureed strawberries

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl add the cream cheese and mix with an electric mixer for about 30 seconds or until fluffy.
  • Add the sour cream and beat it in.
  • Mix in the sugar and lemon zest.
  • In a clean medium bowl add the whipping cream. Using clean beater beat the whipping cream until peaks form.
  • Add the whipped cream to the cream cheese mixture and beat in.
  • Beat in the pureed strawberries until well blended. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  1. Make sure that the cream cheese is room temperature. It will make it so much easier to mix.
  2. Whip the cream cheese before adding other ingredients to prevent lumps forming.
  3. The dip can be made the day before if you like, but refrigerate at least an hour before serving.
  4. Serve with fresh fruit, graham crackers, pretzels, sugar cookies, or whatever you like.
