Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Wash and dry the sweet potatoes. Take a fork and poke each of the sweet potatoes a few times. Place them in a baking dish and put them in the oven to roast for 45 minutes or until they are fork tender. (Cooking time will vary depending on the size of the potatoes).
Once the potatoes are fork tender remove them for the oven and cool until they are easy to handle.
Cut the tops off of each of the sweet potatoes. Remove the flesh of each potato and add to a medium bowl.
Add the cream cheese, butter, sour cream, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and the spices. Mix until the ingredients are well combined. Spoon back into the shells.
In a small bowl mix together the 2 tablespoons brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans. Sprinkle over top of each potato.
Place the potatoes bake into the oven and bake another 10 to 15 minutes or until they are heated through.
