  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Cut down the center of the loaf (lengthwise). In a bowl combine the softened butter, olive oil, Italian Seasoning, and Parmesan cheese. Mix until well combined

  3. Divide the butter mixture between the two halves. Spread the mixture evenly over each half.  Wrap each half in aluminum foil. Set the bread on a large baking pan and place in the oven. 

  4. Baked for 20 minutes. Unwrap and bake an additional 5 minutes or until the desired crunchiness.
