- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 1/2 cup green pepper chopped
- 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
In a skillet combine the ground beef, onions, and green peppers. Cook over medium heat until the ground beef is browned and vegetables are tender.
Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning, Mix well. Add the mozzarella cheese and stir in until it melts.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve.
- Use lean ground beef for this recipe.
- Saute the onions and green peppers with the ground beef, to ensure that they are cooked well.
- Drain any grease that there is after browning the ground beef.
- If you don't like diced tomatoes, it can be substituted with tomato sauce.
- Wait until all of the ingredients are added and then add the salt and pepper to your taste.
- If you have leftovers , to reheat use the microwave to the desired temperature or place in a skillet and heat on the stove.
