Lemon Curd Egg Lemon Juice Lemon Zest  Butter Danish Puff Pastry Butter  Sugar Icing Powdered Sugar Lemon Juice 

Step 1

For the lemon curd, add the egg, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest to a medium sauce pan.

Step 2

Cook over medium heat cook until thick. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter.

Step 3

Place the unfolded sheet onto a flour surface and spread with butter and sugar.

Step 4

Cut the sheet into six strips. Twist each strip and then coil into a spiral. 

Step 5

Place on a prepared baking sheet. Press down the center of the spiral and fill with the lemon curd. 

Step 6

Bake in a preheated oven until they are golden brown.  Once they are baked cool completely

Step 7

While the Danish are cooling, make the lemon icing.

Step 8

Drizzle the cooled Danish with the lemon icing.
