Skillet Ravioli Lasagna is a one-pot dish that is so simple to make and a great dinner recipe for during the week. If you love homemade lasagna you will love how fast this recipe comes together and how great taste.
Homemade lasagna is a favorite dish with our family. Everyone loves the dish with all the noodles, meat, great red sauce, and the gooey cheese. But one fact with making homemade lasagna it involves a lot of time to prepare.
Cooking the noodles, browning the meat, then the assembly of all the layers, and then baking for almost an hour. Plus all those dirty dishes. With ravioli lasagna, you eliminate cooking the noodles before adding them to the dish. And, you won’t miss washing all the extra dishes.
Ingredients and substitutes for Skillet Ravioli Lasagna:
- Italian Sausage – I love Italian sausage in lasagna, but you can use ground beef, ground pork, or ground chicken.
- Tomato Sauce – The tomato works well in this dish with the seasoning that is added, but you can use your favorite spaghetti sauce or marinara sauce.
- Diced Tomatoes – I like the texture and body of the diced tomatoes, but you can add more tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, or marinara sauce in place of the diced tomatoes.
- Onion
- Green Pepper
- Italian Seasoning – I like the blend of herbs that are in the Italian seasoning, but you could use a combination of basil, oregano, and parsley.
- Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheese – I like the combination of these two cheese, but you could use all mozzarella or provolone cheese.
- Ravioli – I use frozen cheese ravioli in this recipe, but you could use fresh ravioli in its place.
- Cottage Cheese – I like the creaminess of the cottage cheese, but you can replace it with ricotta cheese.
Useful Tips:
- After frying the meat make sure to remove all excess grease.

- Store the skillet lasagna in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days in an airtight container.
