Steps for making apple cheesecake bars
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 by 13-inch baking pan.
Steps one, two, and three
Add the cake mix, melted butter, cream, and pecans in a large mixing bowl. Mix until the ingredients are well combined. Press two-thirds of the dough into a prepared pan.
Steps four, five, and six
Beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer before adding any other ingredients. Once the cream cheese is beaten add the sugar and mix in. Add the sour cream and vanilla mix until combined. Add the eggs one at a time and mix until blended.
Steps seven, eight, and nine
Spread the cream cheese filling over top of the crust. Add the chopped apple to a medium bowl and add the sugar, cinnamon, and flour. Toss until the apples are all coated.
Steps nine, ten, and eleven
Top the cream cheese mixture with the apples and cinnamon mixture. Drop the remaining cake mix mixture over top of the apples. Bake in a preheated oven until the bars are lightly browned.

- 1 Spiced cake mix
- 1/2 cup pecans chopped
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1/3 cup cream
Cream Cheese Filling
- 16 ounces cream cheese
- 2/3 cup sugar divided
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 large eggs
Apple Layer
- 2 cups apples chopped
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 by 13-inch baking pan and set aside.
- Add the cake mix, melted butter, cream, and pecan to a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Press 2/3 of the cake mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Reserve the other 1/3 of the cake mixture for the top.
- Add the cream cheese to another large bowl and beat with an electic mixer until fluffy about 30 seconds.
- Add the sugar and mix well.
- Add the sour cream and vanilla and beat in.
- Add the eggs one at a time and beat at low speed after each one just until they are combined.
- Pour the mixture over top of the crust in the baking pan.
- Add the chopped apples, sugar, flour, and cinnamon to a medium bowl. Toss until the apples are all coated.
- Spoon the apples evenly over the top of the cream cheese mixture.
- Crumble the remaining cake mixture over top of the apples.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 39 to 44 minutes or until the edge of the cream cheese is set and the edges are lightly browned.
