It doesn’t get much better than apples, cinnamon, cheesecake filling, and spice cake crust and topping. If you love apple pies you will fall in love with these apple bars.

The spice cake mix makes the perfect crust and topping for these bars. These bars are moist and taste similar to apple pie, but better. You will love how easy they are to make. I am sure that you will want to make them over and over again.

Helpful tips

  • Use the correct apples. Use apples that are firm and can hold up to the baking process
  • Slice the apples into thin slices to ensure that they will not be crunchy when the bars are baked.
  • I would suggest that you peel the apples for this recipe. Apple peels will be tough if they are left on the apples.
  • The ingredients should be at room temperature. The butter should be melted before adding it to the cake mix.
  • Store these bars in the refrigerator.
  • Yes, these apple bars can be frozen. Freeze them in an airtight container.
